Osteopathy focuses on facilitating the health of joints and muscles through non-invasive manual therapy, helping to strengthen the framework of the body, and acts as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine.

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which uses anatomy and physiology as its foundations. Osteopathic manual practitioners (OMPs) encourage the innate homeostatic mechanisms by removing any structural obstructions that will interfere with proper, healthy functioning of the body. Practitioners remove structural obstructions by working with the relationship between muscles, ligaments, fascia, nerves, veins, arteries, and joints. OMPs consider that all parts of the body work together to maintain health. Osteopathy uses rhythm and ease when approaching the body to appeal to the calming parasympathetic nervous system and to ensure that treatment is the least imposing as possible.

Athletic therapists adhere to the Sports Medicine Model of care. They specialize in on field injury response as well as clinical injury rehabilitation. They treat a wide range of patients, from children with sprains to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery, using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. The treatment varies but the objective doesn’t: an Athletic Therapist's goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or walking up and down the stairs..

During an Athletic Therapy assessment, you will go through a thorough history of the present injury, some objective measures, testing and will be given a home exercise program tailored to your injury. Our Athletic Therapist will then recommend a plan of care for follow up appointments.

Massage Therapy - Clothes On

Treatment involves the same clinical and technical skills we always offer, but without the use of oils, lotions and hot towels. Clients remain fully clothed, which allows for the efficient use of time towards assessment and hands-on treatment.

Please come prepared with clothing that allows for better movement.

Massage Therapy - Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture is used under the full discretion of the therapist. For insurance purposes, this modality can only be claimed under massage therapy and not as a acupuncturist.

Medical Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of acupuncture is most commonly used to treat chronic or acute pain

Massage Therapy - Hot Stone

Hot stone massage use heated stones as massage tools to relax and massage the muscles. This is an ancient technique with origins in China and has been used for centuries.
